The title beauty of pain ignites something in me. With question of how anyone can find beauty in pains. So, I started reading and to my surprise it felt like I was being set free from my chains which was my pains. The fonts and spacing was so easy to read as I usually prefer audio books because I'm dyslexic. The author made himself vulnerable by sharing his pain, shame of abuse at the same time demonstrated how he struggled by keeping appearances to please others. I'm can so much relate to this book, and I think my healing process has started though I haven't finished reading. A sure must read.

I really loved the print size and the fact that the book was a normal size not too big😂 Vocabulary used are very straight to the point and easy to understand. In fact, there was a phrase in there “Enough already”. I said that out loud and it really felt good. This book is worth every penny spent 👌👌

I really appreciated this book because not any person has the courage to share such a personal experience boldly. and I believe that this book will help people get delivered from such painful past experiences when they read a true story of someone who has experienced it.

The book is doing magic in my life. I have itemised the to do list to get over certain pains in my life.
Your bravery is fantastic. But it resonates deep thoughts on things I have kept deep and the need to heal and let go.

A moving speech about forgiveness on the day of the launching made me eager to go home and read this book and three pages into the book I was already thanking myself for buying it.
This book made me realize that it’s pointless putting off pain because no matter how long it takes or how you occupy your life with activities and or even people as important as your wife/husband and kids, it will never go away until you allow yourself to fully feel it. Pain always creeps up on you when you least expect it.
And the beauty of pain is that it doesn’t leave until it has taught you a lesson and the moment it’s done teaching you, it paves way for healing which then brings about forgiving yourself and the people that caused you the pain.
I’m so grateful for this book and I honestly can’t wait to have my own forgiveness ceremony 🙏

Yes, Richard l have completed reading the book and l have really enjoyed reading it. Especially using yourself as a childhood and the struggles you went through in your educational pursuit aiming to become aerospace engineer which couldn't come to light. But through perseverance you were able to become what you are today. Listening to married couples and helping solve their problems. I feel this is a must-read book to change one's social orientation for the better

The title The Beauty of Pain is such an oxymoron. However, looking for the ‘beauty’ is how we can ‘grow’ through the pains we encounter in life instead of just ‘going’ through them. From a Ghanaian perspective, this book is so different and powerful.
Different because culturally we don’t air what is deemed as our dirty laundry in the public arena. That is why victims of rape suffer in silence. Countless people have had to carry the trauma, shame, and pain to their graves.
Powerful because it is a doing book. As Richard shares his painful story of rape as a 9-year-old and the concomitant effects of trauma and secrecy, we see how he incorporates his action steps to total healing. I love the simple but beautiful forgiveness ceremony.
This is definitely a must read because it might give parents an insight when their children change drastically. Also, all who have emotional scars, big or small that requires healing. We can all learn something from this book. Thank you for sharing your story, the bravery of being this vulnerable as a man in a patriarchal society is commendable. I hope your story encourage others to face and address their buried pain and forgive for their own freedom and happiness. Oh, and the large font made reading so easy.
